People can show someone elses fedex receipt and claim that they too mailed their application. How can USCIS find out which fedex receipt is for what application?
You can't. No lawyer will do so as this is fraud. If uscis is able to track it down, ie: they kept the envelope, then such a person is in trouble.

Final Q, how long it took from day1 of EB2 filing to filing I140 this week ?
My PERM was filed on 30th March, approved on Aug 11th, received approval copy on 18th Aug, and I-140 to be filed this week.
There was a lot of prep work involved before filing PERM in March. My employer agreed to start the process in Oct'09 and the lawyers started the ads in early Jan.

Still waiting for FP ,called USCIS Customer service on Nov 06th,2007,rep advised to call after 30 days to file SR.
She mentioned delay is because my application was sent to Nebraska as it should have been,Nebraska transferrd to California ,California did my ecept and EAD and sent back to Nebraska for further action....don't know when.
I know people filing later than me and PD in 2006-2007 got their FP notices and FP done...

I am a physician MD currently doing IM residency on H1B. i have a job to start from oct 2007. since PDS for india are now current, i would like to know if my employer can file PERM for a prospective employee now in june. my univerdity lawyer is not clear or rather not willing to file.

The H1B sponsoring company is a large and famous Biopharma company with billions in market cap. AOS is also through the I-140 from that company.
Everything is way above board for us. Still we got stuck!

Also, was this for new H1 B visa or transfer? If new, I assume, it is not first one, am I right?
