I have filed I-485 as derivative on my spouse case with his PD of EB3 Dec2005 as his I-140 was also approved in july 2007. I have AP/EAD through it, but have never used them.
I am currently on H1B and just got my I-140 approved through my employer in EB2. My priority is Feb 2005 which is much earlier than his EB3 Dec 2005. The approved I140 has the same Alien # that I received through my pending AOS case filed earlier in july 2007..
Do you recommend filing I-485 again based on August bulletin now that my PD is current.
How does processing date working in tandem with Priority Date.
What is your take on multiple I-485 filing.

Hi
While parents apply for a tourist visa, in DS-156 where it says "who will pay for the trip", if they mention "self" do we still have to send an Affidavit of Support.
Secondly, do they have to show sufficient cash in their bank account for the trip or will investment proof be ok.
Thirdly, our extended visa is expiring 28thApr'07 & we've applied for renewal in feb'07. We have n't received the receipt yet. Will our current visa copy be sufficient ?

My spouse was on H4 and then got EAD (based on dependent 485 status).Now my spouse employer is willing to apply for H1 b, I just want to see if it is possible to apply for H1b when the current status is AOS

Is your filing date 6/13/2007? Perhaps they are working on your case. Cross check with perhaps they are touching your application

I would anticipate EAD to be processed in max of 3 months and AP in 2 months.
Would also add a buffer of 2 weeks (just in case).

Hi:
I received RFE (employment verification letter) from USCIS, texas center two years ago. I was still employed by the company who filed my GC application at that time. So the company replied and my case status was updated. But my PD was not current, so my case is still pending until now.
I lost job recently, if my PD became current in early 2010, will USCIS EVL me again?
I know no one can predict how USCIS works. I just want to check if anyone had experience that was checked employment status twice?

I am not sure I understand why would you want to do this? You are on EAD, correct? This already gives you the right to work for any employer; getting an H-1B would be a step back in this regard. Am I missing something?

My wife's priority date is current now (Marriage took place before the acceptance of my GC). We have to options - applying for FTJ or I-485 as my wife is in USA currently on a visit visa.
Any suggestions if we can apply for I-485 from here, as that is our preference.
