Hi,
I'd posted a note earlier. I haven't received any updates yet. I am in contact with 4 other people who interviewed on 4th Jan and are still awaiting a reply. The kentucky number mentioned in one of the replys confirms the date on which our H1 was approved. When you call up the number, on mentioning your case #, it pulls up the date on which H1b was approved.
Could anyone who's received a email/ call please post a message to the group, indicating the wait time and date of the first interview?

I've been current since July, 2010 and got RFE on Sept 10, 2010. I don't have letter with me as yet to know about RFE.
Before REF, I waited for few weeks then tried followings:
1) Took infopass : Officer sent email to expedite.
2) Wrote to Senator: got reply they would get reply in 60-90 days
3) Sent an email via attorney to TSC: got automated response.
Then I got RFE after about 2-3 weeks of these attempts.

That's something I noticed too. Most of the personal attacks and not-so-constructive criticism MOST of the time comes from free loaders.

i landed here in 2000 my priority date is 2006 because of useless employers . dont think that everybody sailing in the same boat as urs.

OK....wait till next week for an outright refusal on EAD.
once that happens.....explore the option to file suit......
they first stated that they had instructions from their legal team that they have too much hassle with EADs causing problems, so they dont hire ppl with outside EAD. When I asked them to reconsider they said I dont know for sure, lets see what the legal team says.
It seem to me that this hr person did not make up the refusal on their own, but had previous precedents to go by or had been given explicit instructions.
My fear is that they will come back with a clearer explanation of why they cannot offer employment based on the EAD.
I am getting really really upset about this. If I had known about this EAD refusal thing I would not even have gotten out of H1 and would have continued to work...

Yes , I did see that, but at what point do they consider this as "inventory" -- waiting for visa having pre-adjudicated (gosh, I hope not!) or as we all are thinking -- applications that have reached the agency...

We are planning to make a trip to Hyderabad, India along with my wife and my little baby boy. After reading all of your experiences, I am not sure which one should I opt for. We have an expired Visa on passport, planning to Use AP. As we are travelling first time with the little baby boy, I am looking for some hassle free flying. Its good to hear from ppl that they got an Yellow form from Infopass etc... I have been to San Jose USCIS office multiple times asking for status.... I just don't receive any concrete information from them...Infact, they are even hesitant to create an SR to request an update...
Any one else visited San Jose USCIS office? Similar experience, please share it with us...
and What do u mean by stating that 485 is at local USCIS office? All 485 applications will b at either NSC or TSC, rite?
I had an SR open for which i got the response as wait for 60-90 days and case is in the process of review.
I went to Infopass (San Jose) twice and both times they said, i need to wait as your case just needs to get picked up for processing and every thing else looks ok...
Called the NCSC and they also tell me to wait for 30-60 days....
What other things can we do to actually get our case picked up?

I left the SSN for my wife blank in I-765
My attorney told me to fill in ITIN # if available.
My wife is on H4 and she do have ITIN#.
I am confused.

Seems like we are so many here who are planning to file on our own. Isn't it wise to hire an attorney and negotiate a better rate, so we all can file correctly in one shot?
All attorneys are going to be very very busy so it is just better to file your self. I have an attorny, I submitted all documents to my attorney by 20th May but they have not done anything about it.

Wait for the Updates from USICS today/monday morning...If they didnt give any statement considering a lot of rumors/activity , defintely some bad news is in store ......
On the flip side, if this is only a rumor, then USCIS/DOS won't comment at all.
