I will send email(s) to consulates and ministry of affairs UNTIL they hear us. They can't take us for granted and create the rules like they want for different consulates.
PS: I got mine renewed (10 yr validity) this year from SFO, with expired visa, without a problem.

As a prcatical matter you should have copy of your labor or at least the job description so that you can look for 'similar' job.
You may be in trouble if you don't have it or are not sure what your employer has put int he labor application. Also, at the minimum you should have you 140 application number, only then can you be sure that it has been approved.
If you have these, you can easily use AC21 with no harm. Also, if I were you I will avoid any travel even if you have approived 131 as the IO at port of entry may ask you about your employment status.

I have been reading posts where suggestions of writing letters to various political figures have been raised and hopefully implemented. I have a suggestion too, please ignore if this has already been brought up and discussed.
As a popular saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. So, my suggestion is :
Send our pictures to these people (whoever they are - senator, congressmen etc.). We can include 2 pictures each- eg.- one picture when we initially came (5-10 years back, unmarried, younger looking, graduation picture, college campus etc.). Another picture can be a more recent one (with family, kids, in our office, professional attire, house, car etc.).
We can include a tagline behind each picture.
Now since digital photography has taken over hard copies, many of us would be lazy enough to go take prints and then send them to the senators. So, we can email our pictures to one person (or IV core) and they can hand over the package to the concerned authorities.
I know this is a very rough sketch of what is actually involved in making this happen, so please come up with suggestions/ ideas.

Sorry for asking many question, when you are trying to find answers to your problem.
I'm trying to figure out my situation, you have replied "As long as marriage is before 485 it can be applied." : before 485 means the day of filling the I 485 or the day of I 485 Approval ?
Which means I can do just the registration of the marriage in my desi (legal) before the I485 approval, then come back to USA, apply for Counsular processing (I485) for my spouse with in 180 days, once spouse's application is approved spouse can come to USA?

Ann & Others, thanks for your valuable inputs, My visa stamp on my passport expired last week but I do have a valid extended I-94 from my extended H1 petition. So I'm getting the option from Company A to go US Consulate in Abroad, get restamped based on my current valid H1 Petition from Company A and enter US using it and join Company A directly which will clear all problems including the unauthorized employment.

According to my attorney i have to go out of the country and come back to get a new I 94 , He also said for trips to mexico less than 30 days you dont get a new I 94 is that true , i dont want to file a extension bcos i cant afford attorney fees now. Anyone got a new I 94 when entering from Mexico.

What exactly is the deal with the 2 I-94s? We get one with the H1-approval and one when we enter/re-enter the country. Now when we leave the country they automatically take then I-94 attached to the passport. What happens to the I-94 with the H1B approval. Are we supposed to give that away as well? I have left and entered the country 2-3 times but never surrendered the I-94 attached to the h1B.
Can someone please let us know how this I-94 surrendering and numbering works?
In the event you have a new 797 (with a new I94 attached to it), you are expected to staple that to your passport. You'd note that the new 94 WILL have the same number as the old one in the passport (if you've not travelled out of US in the interim period).
In this case I usually take out the old I94s and staple the new one in that place. Don't know if that's right or wrong, but I haven't had an issue until now.

I jst got an update on my and my wife I-485; i am not sure what it is about as i have not received the RFE yet.....but i think they are asking for our BC as we did not provide them when we applied for I-485;
I want to know that is it OK if i provide USCIS with the 2 AFFIDEVITS, one for me and one for my wife stating all the information such as Name, Date of Birth, City of Birth, Country of Birth, Mothers Name and Fathers Name.
Gettign the birth certificate is a very long procedure and i dont think i would have them soon. So i was wondering will it be OK if i provide them with the Affidevits. Will USCIS accept it!!!!
Lastly, i would appreciate if some one can give me the template that what text should be included in the affedevit !!!!

why were you waiting for so long since you applied for I-485 to arrange for birth certificate ? Now you have to scramble due to the RFE end date. Anyways, here is the solution. You can provide 2 affidavits from your parents for each of you (i.e. you and wife) and also a birth certificate from pakistani consulate in US. I am not sure if the pakistani consulate issues birth certificates, but you can try. Keep in mind that the BC issued by the consulate is not sufficient by itself. You can just provide that as secondary/additional proof. You will still need the affidavits. Below is a format for father's affidavit. You can use similar wording for mother. I hope that helps you... Good luck!

Man I called and talked to teh 2nd level person and she said my app is not in the system...So what could be the reason for it...It was received on 18th july in NSC..Any pointers guys..?? :(
