But as mentioning is it good to efile or manual filing. as i said this is the case , I have moved after filing 485 my file is at NSC , for CT direct centre is VSC and many ppl have adviced to send file to NSC as my 485 is at NSC. Hence i have decided to file for Manual filing as i am new to Efiling and i dont want it to suggest this to go to VSC which will delay the case ? am i making sense?

DREAM Act should actually be called DREAM ON Act... its been hanging in the air since 2001 . Next year it will complete its decade of political verbal support and all its supporters can be happy that it survived another year.

First let me thank you all for providing and maintaining such a forum where one can get all the answers related with immigration. This is truly amazing.
I am a july 2007 filer. My priority date in October 2006. My I 140 was approved in January 2007. I was laid off by my original GC sponsoring company in April 2009. Fortunately, I was able to get a new job under same responsibility description, before my last day with the GC sponsoring employer. I had invoked my AC21 on April 10,2009 and had switched job.
I have a AP, valid through January 2011 and a EAD valid through August 2010.
Mu H1B and I 94 has been expired alost an year now. I am working and staying in the country with EAD now with an AOS status.
I need to travel to India to address some urgent family now. Do you think my travel on AP (especially after invoking Ac21) in risky. I will be travelling through JFK. Has anyone travelled through JFK on AP after invoking AC21?
Any information will be highly appreciated.

c) valid EAD
d) valid AP

This is looking down the stairs outside my office, saw this for the first time today. I had the wrong lens and no tripod, so I just shot a couple to get a feel for the motif. This was the least blurry of the bunch - handheld at 1/6s isn't my strongest skill. :)
What do you think, is this anything? It has been done a gadzillion times, but maybe one more is interesting? I'll go back this weekend when the place is empty, with a tripod, and get a bunch of different versions. Anything you'd advice in terms of composition, angle, lighting etc?

Actually, I was trying to avoid kanhaiya's comments....as we say in our country, barking does does not affect the walking elephant.

I am not entirely sure but there is a provision called "Follow to Join" that allows you to apply for spouse's 485, 6 months after your 485 is approved. The only condition you need to satisfy is that you should have married your spouse before your 485 approval date. Ask your lawyer about it. I think you should be fine. About legal status since your spouse's 485 is rejected and ur h1 is invaldiated due to your 485 approval, i dont know and you need to aks your lawyer about it.

it is hard time for any H1 transfers. Your best bet is to try hard for a month or two, and plan to leave or stay accordingly.
Again there is no guarantee for the extension of status approval. So eventually there is chance that you might even find yourself loosing the project, when waiting for visa appointment in India. (the client may not want to wait for you for months).
So have all the facts straight, and be aware of possible outcomes. Then it is up to you to decide.

You can work as many hours as you like when on H1B. The only requirement is that you work for the SAME EMPLOYER that sponsored your H1B.
Letter for parents to come if required only when getting visa at the consulate (addresses to Consular Gen.). Nothing is needed at Port Of Entry. They are Immigration Officers at POE, but the only questions they will ask is where will they stay? What is your name? where you work? etc. Simple Qs.

I wonder if MSNBC, CNN, FOX ever covered any of legal immigrants stand against the present immigration mess. I don't see any news about the flower campaign, about visa bulletin fiasco, or even the rallies that we have been doing? The fight has been very strong and unity is finally in place.
Am I missing something here? Most of us sent so many mails to these bigwigs and nobody showed our news and plight on their news?

Forgive me but being an active volunteer I am seeing state of the affair so was compelled to make these comments.
You are on 8th year of extension and this is a very stressful moment for you.
IV probably can't help you a lot at this time as it is after the fact but it can help others before such thing happens.
We are a growing union, which is run by people like you and me. If folks are not actively involved loobying for a) getting laws changed b) developing relationships with law makers and USCIS c) creating leverage of our unity over lawyers, these incidents will continue to happen.
If we had become powerful enough, then in the cases like this IV would have hold high level meeting with USCIS to resolve this gentleman problem. But unfortunately, we are still a strugling union to get members to volunteer.

I checked my case status in July 07 and it displayed case closed. I called my lawyer and basically the response I got was she did not respond in time to a rescruitment instructions report sent by DOL in March 07 and hence the case was closed. My company has been supportive through this process and its only my lawyer whose been horrible.
While part of me wanted to do strangle her, the other part (guessing the sendible part) made me realize I needed to get this resolved.
1. Have any of you been in this situation and had your case reopened and if so, how?
2. Can I change my attorney in this situation and have him/her try to get the case reopened?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
